Welcome to Georgetown University School of Medicine, Class of 2028!

On August 2, family and friends of the 203 students in this year’s incoming class (pictured here on the steps of Healy Hall) gathered to celebrate the annual White Coat Ceremony, a time-honored tradition in medicine. During the formal ceremony, students received their short white coats — a symbolic milestone marking their entry into the health professions — and recited the Hippocratic Oath.

Care of the Whole Person, and Community

Guided by the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, care of the whole person, Georgetown University School of Medicine educates a diverse student body to become knowledgeable, ethical, skillful, and compassionate physicians and biomedical scientists who are dedicated to the care of others and to the health needs of our society.

A Commitment to Change

The members of the Racial Justice Committee for Change, a dedicated group of students, staff and faculty, are pursuing sustainable change in diversity, equity and inclusion at the School of Medicine and throughout Georgetown University Medical Center.
